Bolingbrook Police Department Testing!
The Village of Bolingbrook Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is now
accepting applications to create an eligibility list for the position of
Police Officer.
We are seeking honest, alert, industrious and intelligent candidates who
will maintain the prestigious standards of our Police Department. All
applicants are required to be:
* A United States Citizen of good moral character
* Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age at time of appointment
(Twenty-year-old applicants with certain qualifications may apply, however,
they will be bound by Illinois Municipal Code, Chapter 65, Par 5/10-1-7)
* Except as otherwise provided by Illinois Statute, applicants shall
not have passed their thirty-fifth (35th) birthday by the last date for
filing applications, March 29, 2002.
* A high school graduate or equivalent
* In good physical health
* Of appropriate temperament and physical stamina
Application packets and information may be obtained from the Village of
Bolingbrook Finance Department, 375 West Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook, IL,
60440-0951. A $25.00 filing fee will be required. All applications must be
completed in their entirety for consideration and must be returned to the
Finance Department by 5:00 p.m. on March 29, 2002.

IMPORTANT EVENTS
Here is a list of the important events. If you do not meet the deadline or
fail to attend any of these events as scheduled, you will be disqualified
from further testing.
March 29, 2002 5 p.m. Application Deadline. All applications must be
complete. The employment application must be signed, dated and notarized.
Other forms also require a witness to your signature. Applications with
incomplete packets or incomplete forms will be disqualified. THERE ARE NO
EXCEPTIONS!
April 13, 2002 8 a.m. Orientation/Physical Agility Test. Dress comfortably
and appropriately for the weather. This will be conducted outdoors.
April 20, 2002 9 a.m. Written Exam. You will be contacted after the written
test regarding your oral interview with the Fire and Police Board.
