2002 HISLEA SCHOLARSHIP

 

PURPOSE
The Members of the Hispanic Illinois State Law Enforcement Association offer this scholarship to assist Hispanic College students in achieving their educational goals.

 

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1.

Be currently enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) at an Illinois State Junior College, College,  or University;
2.   have cumulative GPA of at least 3.0;
3.   demonstrate leadership qualities, as well as community involvement;

 

SCHOLARSHIP SPECIFICS

To apply, complete the attached application and submit the following:

1.   A letter describing your experiences within the Hispanic community,  your educational and career goals, your community service and extracurricular activities, and how this scholarship will help you achieve your goals;
2.   a copy of your current transcript;
3.   One letter of recommendation from a school counselor or professor.
Your letter is equivalent of a personal interview, it should be concise, clear and to the point.  The completed application packet (application, letter, transcript, etc.) should be sent to the following address:
